Why all this then?
- I have some friends taking OOP next semester, and I wanted a refresher so I could help them
- I didn't take this OOP, and a lot of the labs are really fun, and I wanted to do them
- I would love, love, love if we switched from Java to JS for our OOP
Why do I want to switch?
- JavaScript is huge in the industry
- The Processing IDE hides a lot of the actual Java syntax/troubles
- JavaScript, along with Twine in L&T, gives a nice gateway into webdev
- There is little difference concerning the labs
- You can do some nice creative things with it!
- P5js is documented just as well as Processing 3
- It's still really easy to get set up
If anyone is interested in switching languages again (I know we just moved to Java), I would be happy to help in any way you might need (tutoring, cheatsheets, installations, etc.).
